Cookie policy

This page lists every cookie cherrylivecams.com sets. Three are needed for the site to work. Two more come from Google Analytics, which we use to count visits. We set no advertising cookies ourselves, but the ad networks whose ads appear on some pages may set their own; they are described below.

Cookies we set

• cherrylivecams-session: the Laravel session cookie, which keeps your visit together as you move between pages. Strictly necessary. It expires with your browser, or after two hours idle.
• XSRF-TOKEN: protects forms such as content removal from cross-site request forgery. Strictly necessary, and it expires with the session.
• Age verification result: set once you pass the AgeVerif check. It holds a pass, nothing about who you are, and lasts 30 days. Strictly necessary, because UK law requires an age check before adult content.
• _ga and _ga_<id>: set by Google Analytics. They give your browser a random identifier so repeat visits count as one person, not several. No name, no email, nothing about what you watched. Two years. Analytics, not strictly necessary.

Turning analytics off

The Google Analytics cookies are set when a page loads. To stop them, block or delete cookies for cherrylivecams.com in your browser settings, or install Google Analytics Opt-out, Google's free browser add-on. The site works exactly the same without them. We don't use the data to target you and we don't share it with advertisers.

Cookies from ad networks

Ads on some pages, shown only after the age check, are served by the cam networks and, where we use one, an ad network. These companies set their own cookies under their own policies, mostly to cap how often you see an ad and to count clicks. We can't read them. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser stops them, and the site works the same without them.

Storage that isn't a cookie

Your favourites and whether you've dismissed the age banner live in your browser's local storage, not in cookies. That never reaches our servers, so we can't see your favourites. Clearing your site data removes both.

Cookies on the networks

Click a room and you leave for the performer's network, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. Affiliate tracking, which is how we earn a commission if you spend there, happens on their side through that link, not through any cookie of ours.

Managing cookies
